I like that Fix & Rev lives up to their company name which many people may not understand. Fix and Rev means, you go to them and have your vehicle fixed and go away well in peace by revving! If you look at the list of things done here, then you will know why it is a one stop centre. You pretty much have everything covered including spare parts and accessories.

In operation since June 2020, Fix & Rev boasts of a robust team of professional technicians, experts and mechanics that provide corrective and predictive maintenance including interim, major and full car services for light and medium vehicles.

“Our one stop workshop in Kisasi is equipped with modern equipment and tools. We have a waiting area fully equipped with a café and Wi-Fi services to provide comfort for our customers as they wait for their vehicles. Our client-centred services are designed to give you maximum flexibility and are billed in a clear and concise manner,” says a statement from the company flyer.

Service commitment

Fix & Rev’s reputation rests on its creative car maintenance approach, technical expertise and attention to detail. They ensure that they provide a service that consistently meets their clients’ needs.

Brian Mungereza, a director at Fix & Rev says that they do general fixing of cars and services. “From the usual servicing of changing oil, overhauling, engine replacement to spraying. We are open Monday to Saturday from 8.00am to 6.00pm, on Sundays, we open from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00p.m,” Mungereza explains.

He adds that they do car towing services 24/7 in Kampala only but they have plans of being countrywide. “You can call us even if it is 3.00 a.m., we will pick your car. We also do car restoration and have also handled bad car accident issues. We sell European and Asian car accessories and parts. We also work on cars with hybrid technology,” he asserts.

“We choose to fit parts of equivalent quality to those originally fitted by the manufacturer of your vehicle. We will record all the servicing completed on your vehicle in your service record book. This may enhance the resale value of your vehicle by demonstrating that you have had it regularly maintained by a quality garage. “

“A qualified member of staff will also be available to answer quickly and courteously any questions or problems you may have but in the unlikely event of us being unable to resolve a problem to your satisfaction, we offer the free services of -and will abide by the decision made by an independent arbitration service. Above all, we pride ourselves in always offering high standards of workmanship and friendly, helpful service.”

Products and services

Mungereza says they provide full car service, car manual and computer diagnostics, laser wheel alignment, wheel balancing, tyre changing, car AC filling station, free local collection and delivery (up to 1.5 miles radius), exhaust/suspension/brakes repair/replacement, 24-hour recovery to/from anywhere in Uganda.

Also done here is car welding, selling car rooftop storage boxes, bike racks and roof top bars, body work, panel beating and painting, gas and electrical body welding work, car wiring repairs, tracker services, car key programming, car glass tinting, car sales, car rental services, car seat repair/replacement, car tracker installation and battery charging.

Car wash services

Normal/regular wash, body wash only, engine wash only, full valet/executive wash, T-cut the whole car, vacuum cleaning only and under wash. Fix & Rev’s main challenge is lack of enough space. Mungereza says sometimes they can be overwhelmed with lots of clients in the small space the garage operates from. Apart from that challenge, Fix & Rev is one of the few workshops or garages in Uganda that are operate in one stop centre way and do it well.
